This is a fulltime position working day shift Monday thru Friday. Five (5) years of experience preferred, security clearance is a plus. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring all work meets or exceeds established standards, codes, and project requirements. This position requires a detail-oriented leader with a deep understanding of quality assurance practices and construction methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control management for heavy civil construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and quality standards
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local construction codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Must be willing to work onsite in Savannah, GA, with occasional travel as needed.
- Valid Driver’s License and travel to job sites.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the project’s Quality Control Plan (QCP) in compliance with contract specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure all construction activities, materials, and workmanship meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to address quality-related issues and resolve discrepancies.
- Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
- Prepare and present regular quality performance reports to project stakeholders.
- Train and mentor site personnel on quality control processes and standards.
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients, engineers, and regulatory agencies on quality matters.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and participate in safety inspections as needed.
