Project Managers provide technical supervision and management of projects assigned to them as well as directing day to day technical requirements of staff. They prepare portions of contract proposal estimates for one or more disciplines, including the determination of applicable project plans and specifications. Under minimum supervision when estimating own discipline. May independently estimate a small to medium size project. Manages production profitability and implements quality control procedures and is liaison with clients.
4 Year Engineering Degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and or experience.
2 to 5 years of estimating, controls and or engineering experience related to similar facility construction.
Advanced knowledge of assigned discipline, estimating techniques and cost control, plus ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems essential.
A minimum of five (5) years of successful managerial experience on Construction program and projects that provided maintenance, engineering and logistics support of Department of Defense and Military facilities.
The ability to correctly interpret and direct the accomplishment of Firm Fixed Based and Performance Based contract requirements.
Experience in the development, collection, analysis and reporting of personnel requirements, configuration management, quality assurance, engineering, safety, and maintenance activities.
Familiarity with DOD construction planning and Programming and regulations governing personnel space allocation and usage.
Experience in DOD transformation and organizational realignment planning and execution.
Skilled briefer. Fluent in the English language.
Demonstrated ability in fiscal and business management, including the management of Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) efforts.
Trains and directs employee work activities. Signs time sheets, prepares performance reviews, handles discipline problems, and has input to hiring and firing.
Valid Driver’s License and travel to job sites.
Knowledge of Microsoft Package to include Microsoft Project
Strong Organizational Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Must be able to read and understand drawings and specification.
Must have valid OSHA 10 certifications
