Here are cleaning products that you won’t want to be combining.
Are you trying to get cleaning done for your business? When getting cleaning done around your business, you’re going to use a wide range of cleaning products. The products you use will depend on the surfaces that you’re cleaning at the time. With that said, some cleaning products should never be mixed, as they can create dangerous mixtures. Knowing which chemical combinations to avoid will help you be much safer. Here are cleaning products that you won’t want to be combining.
Bleach and Ammonia
Many cleaning products contain ammonia in one way or another, so you need to be careful to ensure that the ammonia doesn’t mix with anything dangerous Bleach is one of those chemicals that is best kept away from ammonia because these two chemicals can combine to create chloramine vapors, which are a threat to the health of your lungs.
Bleach and Vinegar
Ammonia isn’t the only chemical that should stay away from bleach. Typically, bleach is better used by itself. When you try to combine it with vinegar, a hazardous chlorine gas is formed. This gas can be irritable to your skin and eyes. On top of that, people’s respiratory systems can be compromised too.
Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide
These two chemicals are typically harmless on their own, but when mixed together, they can be a potent threat. Mixing hydrogen peroxide with vinegar results in the creation of peracetic acid, which is a strong skin and eye irritant.
Bleach and Rubbing Alcohol
Bleach is already strong enough on its own, so there’s no need to mix it with other cleaning products while getting your business cleaned up. If you decide to mix bleach with rubbing alcohol, you create chlorofoam. Chlorofoam is incredibly dangerous, and it can cause people to become dizzy and nauseous. In large doses, people can also experience nerve damage.
